Desk Engineer (Drilling)

* Responsible for multiple product segment, planning and writing technical program for single or multiple client activities.
* Performs risk analysis on technical programs.
* Coordinates and supervises the day to day execution of the service and the relevant personnel at the rig site.
* Monitors daily progress of job(s) or project(s).
* Provides basic technical guidance and work direction to field staff.
* Performs post job evaluation, processes paperwork related to the job.
* Ensure operation is compliant with the local and global QHSE policy at rig site and office.
* Growth into a future management role expected.

* Bachelors Degree or educational equivalent. 4 years minimum related oilfield downhole tools experience preferred.
* Knowledge of Fishing tools or Whipstock tools preferred, or experience in Directional drilling, Drill stem testing, Packers, or liner hangers.
* Broad understanding of a single product segment / service(s) in an operational area or district.
* Thorough understanding of customer requirements and ability to communicate with customers as required.
* Thorough understanding of processes and procedures of the operating area.
* Proficient in the use of PC's. Competency with MS Office software and business unit proprietary software.
* Ability to use skills, knowledge and techniques in problem recognition and solution development.
* Ability to plan, forecast material requirement and generate costed proposals. Demonstrate ability to risk assess technical options and propose any required mitigations.
